Pastor Ross Parsley and his wife, Aimee, dreamed of planting a church to help people love God, love one another, and show the love of God to others. We came from humble beginnings: worship services in hotel ballrooms; prayer and strategy meetings in the classrooms of other local churches, who were also excited to support our vision. These beginnings knitted us together as a church family.
In September of 2010 One Chapel held its very first service in the movie theaters at Barton Creek Square Mall. Over 400 people came and 35 of them said, “Yes” to following Jesus that first Sunday. One Chapel quickly became a place to belong for individuals and families all over the greater Austin area. We continue to be a church helping people move from where they are to where God wants them to be—with a priority on God’s presence, authentic relationships, and the mission of sharing God’s love with our city.
We are united in one hope and purpose…to keep Jesus at the center of everything we say and do. In 2015, One Chapel embraced the vision to become “a family of neighborhood churches” where we intentionally look to launch Sunday morning communities throughout the greater Austin area. Currently we have gatherings in Austin and Kyle. As ONE church, we are committed to a context-sensitive, missional movement of related churches who collaborate together to share resources and gospel strategies throughout the neighborhoods of our city.
