Sundays

Attending a new church on a Sunday morning can be an intimidating experience. Here's some of what you can expect when you arrive at ONEchapel on Sunday for the 9:30AM or 11:30AM service:
MEETING AT MONTEREY OAKS
We gather together each Sunday in a commercial office space. We try to make it feel warm and inviting, like we're having you over in our living room, instead of a business convention. You can just follow the signs or head toward the worship music. Lots of people will be available to answer your questions and help you find your way. Just look for the name tags!
PARKING
Plenty of parking is available in the Monterey Oaks parking lot. After you've parked, enter the building at either end under the ONEchapel signs.
CHILDREN
Our kids are worth investing in and that's why we've created a high-energy worship experience in a safe and clean environment led by trained team members. 'Kids for the One' signs will direct you through the hallway where you will find our children's check-in stations. Our helpful team members will assist you as you relay some brief information about your kids and answer any questions you may have. Kids and parents will be directed to one of three classes where more team members will receive your little bundles of energy to lead them in active worship and exciting Bible stories while you attend the service in the Living Room.
Here's how we group our kids' meetings:
- BIGS Elementary - 1st through 5th grade meet in theater 9
- LITTLES Preschool - 3 yrs old through 5 yrs old meet in theater 10
- TINYS Nursery - babies through 2 yrs old meet in theater 11
WORSHIP
We believe that worship is the core of who we are at ONEchapel. Being reminded that God is present among us is the focus of our time spent together. So, you'll hear vibrant, modern music and be invited to sing along about Jesus and His love and redemption (don't worry, we didn't know the songs the first time through either). We're a community that values the practices of ancient believers as well, so we include some liturgical elements, such as, Holy Communion, the Nicene Creed and corporate prayers. We want our worship to be rooted in history while leaving room for the mystery of the Holy Spirit among us.
BIBLE TEACHING
The Bible is the story of God's interaction with humanity and our primary source for learning about our relationship with Him. We think church should be a place where the Bible is explained simply and easily for all kinds of people to get answers to real life problems. All the big cookies are on the bottom shelf, so we try to make the Scriptures accessible to everyone. You'll hear teaching that is verse by verse through books of the Bible as well as topical studies to help us be the people God wants us to be. Our commitment is to be spiritually vibrant and yet intellectually honest in our interpretation of Scripture.
CULTURE
We're pretty relaxed around here. We want ONEchapel to be a place where people feel like they can be themselves and encounter God's life for them. For some, that will mean putting on their Sunday best. For others, that will be shorts and flip-flops. Whatever you wear, you'll find people laughing and talking and genuinely sharing life together. We simply want you to be comfortable and know that we believe that all ground is level at the foot of the cross of Jesus.
CONNECTION CARDS
We encourage every person to fill out the Connection Card in the worship guide you receive when you walk in to share prayer requests, give updated personal information, or simply communicate something to the church office. You can turn in your card at the end of the service when we receive our tithes and offerings.
If you're a first-time guest, we invite you to fill out the Connection Card as well. We simply want to send you an email or letter that says thank you for coming.
We look forward to meeting you. And if you need answers to any other questions, please contact us at info@onechapel.com.
See you Sunday!
