Baptism

Jesus commanded his disciples to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38). We believe that every follower of Christ should obey the Lord in entering the waters of baptism. Baptism means to be immersed, plunged into, or consumed. Consequently, we practice baptism by immersion. Baptism identifies us with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, empowering us to leave our old, sinful ways of life and embrace our new, spirit-filled life "in Christ!" It is a wonderful sacrament practiced by ONEchapel in the midst of vibrant worship and celebration.
Here is what you can expect as you participate in Water Baptism:
Baptisims will be held on Sunday June 30th at the Monterray Oaks Campus.
You will be asked to make a corporate, public confession of Christ as your Lord and Savior. This will happen as a group with others who are being baptized--we may have individuals share who want to.
What to bring: Please wear shorts and a dark shirt to be baptized in, a towel and a change of clothes (we'll have some extras available if you need something).
We are so excited for you as you exchange your life for HIS life. Come expecting God to do something awesome.
