SHORT-TERM MISSIONS

Missions Moments

Monthly Missions Info Meeting

Find out MORE about OC missions at our monthly Missions Moments gathering. This time will focus on ALL things mission at One Chapel. We discuss every global and local missionary we support as well as the short-term trips we sponsor. Most importantly, we spend time praying for each missionary. We meet the 4th Thursday of every month upstairs at the Austin Campus. Let me know you’re coming!

SUMMER MISSIONS

This past summer One Chapel has been busy with global missions! We sent a team of families to Mexico to build a house for a needy family. One team had the opportunity to go to the mountains of Mexico to minister to orphans rescued from sex trafficking. And a very excited team went to Brazil to catch a boat down the Amazon River to minister to tribes along the riverside.

THANK YOU FOR GIVING TO MISSIONS AND MAKING ALL THESE OPPORTUNITIES POSSIBLE.

UPCOMING MISSIONS TRIPS:

ATHENS, GREECE:

September 13th-24th, 2024

This trip will be working with Greater Europe Missions. Our home base will be with a church located in a local Greece neighborhood. This church is successfully building relationships and leading the neighborhood to Christ. Depending on the team’s abilities this trip may involve a variety of projects: working with refugees, working with children, and sharing Christ in natural opportunities. There will be lots of walking involved, so participants must be prepared for lots of walking daily. The Parthenon, Mars Hill, and possibly Corinth are on the list of possible sites to visit.

Kenya, Africa

August 2nd-12th, 2024

We will be working with Hope 27, an education initiative (1-12 grades).
Our team will be building chicken coops for an income generating project so the
ministry can support themselves. We will also be repairing homes of widows and
mentoring children in their math studies. An African Safari is included!

Amazon River, Brazil

August 24th – September 3rd

Our mission is to bring the hope of Christ to the people living in the West Amazon Basin
through evangelism, medical/dental clinics, VBS and discipleship. Our objectives are to learn to share the gospel in a cross-cultural setting, see God at work in a new way, and grow to a new level of servanthood and dependency on God. Depending on the makeup of the team, we may have a medical and or dental clinic. The location will be outside of Manacaparu. We will fly to Manaus, Brazil, then get onto a bus and travel to Manacaparu. There we will board the boat and travel by water to the village. We will spend approximately 5 nights and 6 days on the boat and in village ministering and then will travel back to Manaus, spending one night in Manaus and then flying home.

Santiago, Dominican Republic

July 7th-13th, 2024

A Casas Por Cristo group mission trip is an opportunity for people of all skill
levels and backgrounds to come together to build a home for a family in need. No
prior building experience is necessary to work on a team – just a desire to serve
the Lord and the people of the Dominican. During this time, our team will build a
home for a family from start to finish. We will have an experienced Casas Por
Cristo staff missionary guiding us every step of the way. Our team will cover the
cost of the project, therefore providing the home as a gift to the family in need.

MISSIONS GIVING

In Matthew 28, Jesus tells his disciples to "go and make disciples of all nations." We believe in that commission wholeheartedly, and we support it in a number of ways. One of those ways is by sending teams of people around the world to serve and minister to people who don't know the love of Jesus. People who are hurting and broken. People who need hope.

In 2022 we're sending teams to different places around the globe in partnership with organizations doing ongoing work in each area. Scroll down to check out our upcoming trips!

*All gifts are non-refundable. In the unfortunate event that a trip member cannot attend, the funds will be designated for other mission trips.
