90 Day Challenge Week 1 – The Blessing That Begins the Story
One Chapel family,
If you’ve already been reading — well done.
If you’re a little behind — take a breath. You’re right where you need to be.
This 90-day journey isn’t about perfection or pace. It’s about immersion — allowing Scripture to reshape how we see God, ourselves, and the story we’re living in.
Looking Back — Week 1
Genesis 1 – Exodus 15
The Bible opens in a surprising way — not with rules or correction, but with blessing.
Before there is sin, striving, or fracture, there is goodness. God creates with intention and repeatedly declares His creation “good.” Humanity is not accidental. Relationship is the starting point.
Even as brokenness enters the story, God does not retreat. From creation, to Abraham, to Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, we see a consistent pattern:
God keeps moving toward His people.
Blessing doesn’t disappear when the story fractures.
It becomes the very thing God is determined to restore.
A Cultural Insight
In the ancient world, most creation stories described distant or unpredictable gods and humans created to serve their needs. Genesis stands apart.
This God speaks, blesses, and invites humanity into relationship — not fear or slavery. From the very beginning, Scripture tells us something foundational:
The world is not chaos.
Your life is not random.
God is personal, present, and involved.
Looking Ahead — Finishing week one
Exodus 16 – Leviticus 14
As you move forward, the story shifts from rescue to formation. God has delivered His people — now He begins shaping how a redeemed people learn to live.
Pay attention to how often God provides, instructs, and dwells among them. These chapters aren’t about earning God’s love; they reveal what life with God is meant to look like.
A Simple Invitation
As you reflect on this first week, consider sharing something that stood out — a moment, a question, or a truth that caught your attention — with your group or on social media. Your reflection may encourage someone else who’s walking through the story alongside you.
We’re grateful to be reading Scripture together.
With you in the journey,
