90 Day Challenge : Week 2 – Promise, Covenant, and Listening for God’s Voice

One Chapel family,

As we move into Week 2, one truth becomes clear very quickly: God does not walk away when people fail.
Instead of distancing Himself, God continues to draw near.

This Week’s Reading

Leviticus 14 – Deuteronomy 34

These chapters may feel unfamiliar or challenging at times, but beneath the laws, journeys, and repetitions runs a steady theme: God remains faithful even when His people struggle to trust Him.

A Cultural Insight

In the ancient world, covenants were not casual agreements. They were life-binding commitments that shaped identity, loyalty, and belonging.

What makes Scripture remarkable is not that God makes promises — it’s who He makes them with. Again and again, God chooses imperfect, fearful, and inconsistent people and binds Himself to them anyway. His faithfulness does not depend on human performance. It flows from His character.

As You Read

Pay attention to how often God speaks, guides, and reassures His people. Even in moments of frustration or wandering, God remains present — leading by cloud and fire, dwelling among them, and reminding them of who He is.

These chapters aren’t about earning God’s love. They reveal what life with God looks like after rescue.

A Simple Invitation

If you find yourself confused, comforted, or challenged this week, pause long enough to notice why. Those moments often become places where God is shaping us more deeply than we realize.

If you’re willing, share one insight or question with your group or on social media — not because you have it figured out, but because we’re learning together.

Grateful to be walking this story with you,
