90 Day Challenge – Week 13: The Church and New Creation

One Chapel family,

As we move into Week 13, the story widens once again — from the life of Jesus to the life of His people.

This Week’s Reading

1 Thessalonians – Revelation 22

The resurrection was never meant to stand alone. It launches a movement.

Ordinary men and women are filled with the Spirit and sent into the world — not to build an institution, but to live as witnesses to what God has done. Fear gives way to courage. Isolation turns into community. Hope becomes something lived, not just believed.

A Cultural Insight

The early church emerged in a world marked by uncertainty, violence, and division. They had no political power and little cultural influence — yet they lived with deep conviction.

They believed new creation had already begun.

Their lives were shaped by generosity, shared meals, prayer, hospitality, and radical love. The church grew not through control or prominence, but through presence and faithfulness.

As You Read

Notice how belief turns into practice. The gospel moves from proclamation to embodiment — lived out in community, perseverance, and love.

The final pages of Scripture do not point us toward escape from the world, but toward renewal of it. Heaven and earth are reunited. God dwells fully with His people. The story ends where it began — with restoration.

New creation is not only something we wait for.
It’s something we participate in.

A Simple Invitation

As you read this week, consider what it looks like to live as part of God’s ongoing story — shaped by resurrection and empowered by the Spirit.

If something stirs your heart, share that insight with your group or online. The story of God continues through the lives of His people.

Grateful to be walking forward together,
